Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Introduction

  • We are seeking a high-caliber, strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and safeguard the financial integrity of our Nigerian operations.
  • As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will drive financial strategy, optimize capital allocation, manage enterprise risk, and ensure alignment with global multinational financial standards.
  • This role is ideal for a visionary finance leader with the ability to convert complex financial data into clear, actionable business insights that support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies that support long-term business objectives and multinational growth plans.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO, Board, and executive leadership team.

Financial Reporting & Performance Management:

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Deliver insightful management reports, dashboards, and financial analyses to support executive decision-making.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning:

  • Lead the annual budgeting and multi-year forecasting processes.
  • Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions to ensure financial discipline.

Treasury, Tax & Cash Management:

  • Oversee cash flow management, liquidity planning, and foreign exchange (FX) exposure.
  • Ensure full compliance with FIRS and LIRS tax requirements and manage relationships with tax authorities.

Stakeholder & External Relations:

  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, banks, financial institutions, and global group finance teams.
  • Support fundraising, banking negotiations, and financial due diligence activities.

Internal Controls & Risk Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain strong internal control systems and financial governance frameworks.
  • Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks.

Requirements
Experience:

  • Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
  • Prior experience in a multinational organization or Big 4 accounting firm is strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

Professional Certification:

  • Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN or ACCA).
  • An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.

Regulatory & Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, CAMA 2020, and IFRS reporting standards.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to look beyond financial statements to identify market trends, investment opportunities, and growth levers.
  • Leadership: Proven experience building, mentoring, and leading high-performing finance teams.
  • Integrity & Governance: Demonstrated commitment to ethical financial practices, transparency, and corporate governance.
  • ERP Expertise: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Data & Analytics: Strong capability in Power BI or Tableau to communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.

Salary & Compensation

  • Monthly Gross Salary: N700,000 - N800,000
