Job Description

Project Planning: Builders participate in project planning and budgeting, helping to estimate costs, materials, and labor requirements. They may also create project timelines and schedules.
Safety: Builders prioritize safety on the construction site by implementing safety measures, training workers, and ensuring that everyone follows safety guidelines.
Problem-Solving: Builders must troubleshoot issues that arise during construction, such as unexpected structural problems, design changes, or weather-related challenges.
Documentation: They maintain records of all construction activities, including daily logs, material receipts, and any changes to the project scope.
Client Communication: Builders often interact with clients, providing progress updates and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Site Preparation: Builders prepare construction sites by clearing debris, excavating, and leveling the ground. They ensure that the site is safe and compliant with all relevant regulations.
Material Procurement: Builders may be responsible for sourcing and purchasing construction materials, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
Construction: Builders carry out the physical construction work, including framing, masonry, carpentry, roofing, and more. They work with various tools and equipment to assemble, install, and finish building components.
Quality Control: Builders are responsible for ensuring that the construction work meets design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. They may perform inspections and tests to guarantee the integrity of the structure.

Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with 2 - 5 years work experience.
Education: While a formal degree is not always required, many builders have completed vocational training, apprenticeships, or certification programs related to construction or a specific trade within construction.
Communication Skills: Effective communication with team members, clients, and subcontractors is crucial.
Attention to Detail: Builders must be detail-oriented to ensure the quality and accuracy of construction work.
