Job Summary

  • Our client is looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator that will be responsible for monitoring the delivery of contracts in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and tendering scope of work in the company.

Responsibilities
Contract Management & Administration:

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating EPC contracts, subcontracts, and service agreements.
  • Ensure contracts are properly executed, recorded, and maintained throughout their lifecycle.
  • Support contract interpretation, ensuring compliance with legal and commercial terms.
  • Track contract deliverables, obligations, and key milestones to avoid disputes or penalties.
  • Supports the Commercial/Legal manager in developing the overall plan that addresses the contracting processes and execution of contracts as specified by Management.
  • Definition of contracting strategies and tactics

Change Order & Claims Management:

  • Support the evaluation, negotiation, and documentation of contract variations, claims, and change orders.
  • Maintain records of correspondence, contractual notices, and amendments to prevent disputes

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Act as a liaison between project teams, clients, subcontractors, and legal teams to ensure smooth contract execution

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain an organized database of contracts, amendments, and related legal documents.
  • Prepare periodic reports on contract performance, risks, and compliance issues.
  • Assist in audits and contract closeout activities at project completion.

Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Identify potential risks in contract terms and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with FIDIC, NEC, bespoke EPC contracts, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Support the claims management process by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to ensure contracts align with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • LLB, B.ENG /HND in Engineering, Project Management, or any related technical field
  • 8 -10 years’ experience as contracts analyst/administrator in Oil & Gas, Energy, Telecommunication Engineering/Construction Projects
  • Knowledge of international trade terms
  • Related professional courses such as PMP, PRINCE2, CBAP, CPCM.
  • Good understanding of engineering/construction contract management
  • Standard computer & IT skills (MS Work Package)
