We are involved in the recruitment of maritime personnel for vessels operating for the merchant navy and on supporting offshore vessels for the oil and gas industry in Nigeria. We have been duly audited and licensed as manning agents by The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) in line with the provision of section 27 (1) (a) (c) of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency Act, 2007 and Regulation 1.4 Standard A1.4 of the Maritime Labour Convention 2006, (MLC 2006).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Crewing Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for a Crewing Officer located in Port Harcourt.
• The Crewing Officer will be responsible for managing crews, communication and crewing operations on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities

• Support the crewing operations in performing the schedules and planning of crew changes and follow up with relevant parties
• Assist in travel arrangement of the mobilization and demobilisation of the crewing staff, including Air/ Ferry/Land Tickets, Visa applications, hotel accommodations, etc
• Ensure candidates are equipped with the relevant requirements (medical, competence certificate I qualification documents)
• Assist on all crew issues.
• Ensuring the control/monitoring of documents & certificates of embarking Seagoing.
• Maintain a proper and user-friendly filing and document control system for recording and tracking all documents for the team and department.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business Management, or related field.
• Managing Crews and Operations Management skills
• Knowledge Of maritime regulations and industry standards
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Previous experience in crew management or maritime operations.
• Excellent Communication skills
• Experience in Crewing and Ship Management
