Seven-Up Bottling Company Limited is one of the largest manufacturing companies in Nigeria, producing and distributing some of the nation’s most- loved beverages in the country like; Pepsi, 7Up, Mirinda, Teem, Mountain Dew, H2oH!, Lipton Ice Tea and Aquafina premium drinking water. SBC has recently entered into Home & Personal Care category with the 2SURE brand and launched its first product, a Hand & Surface Sanitizer. Seven Up boasts of nine bottling plants with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities strategically located across various regions in the country.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Data Engineer 

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Oversee data collection, data integration, and pipeline development.
• Work with end users to identify, create, and deliver data that is needed for reporting according to requirements.
• Design and manage data warehouse improvement and growth projects.
• Identify data discrepancies and data quality issues and work to ensure data consistency and integrity.
• Designing and coding the data warehousing system to desired company specifications.
• Conducting preliminary testing of the warehousing environment before data is extracted.
• Extracting company data and transferring it into the new warehousing environment.
• Testing the new storage system once all the data has been transferred.
• Troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
• Providing maintenance support.
• Execute data warehouse configuration and performance tuning.
• Monitor system details within the data warehouse, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• HND / BSc
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a data engineer.
• Google Professional Data Engineer Certification or Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate Certification
• Scripting skills, e.g., SQL, Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.
• Experience in DBMS like Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Experience with Cloud Database Infrastructure.
• Experience using Microsoft BI Stack, i.e., SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
• Experience with Modern Data Stack
