Job Title: Data Entry Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos (Remote)

Job Description

• The Data Entry Officer is responsible for accurately inputting and maintaining data into the organization's databases and systems.
• They play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and quality of the data collected and processed, helping to support informed decision-making and efficient operations across the organization.
• The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Data Entry:

• Input and update data into the organization's databases and information systems accurately and efficiently.
• Review and verify data for errors, inconsistencies, or missing information before entering it into the system.
• Ensure data entry processes are adhered to and maintain high standards of accuracy and completeness.

Data Quality Assurance:

• Perform regular audits and checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data.
• Identify and rectify errors in data entries promptly.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve data discrepancies and maintain data integrity.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain and update records, files, and documents related to data entry tasks.
• Ensure proper organization and storage of data for easy retrieval and reference.

Data Management:

• Assist in the development and implementation of data management policies and procedures.
• Monitor data entry processes to ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality regulations.

Reporting:

• Generate reports based on the data entered for various departments within the organization.
• Provide data analysis and insights when required, supporting data-driven decision-making processes.

Communication:

• Collaborate with other team members and departments to gather and clarify data requirements.
• Communicate effectively to resolve data-related issues and address queries.

Efficiency and Productivity:

• Identify opportunities to streamline data entry processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Suggest and implement changes to enhance productivity and accuracy.

Qualifications

• B.Sc / HND in Computer Science or related field
• A minimum of 2+ years experience in a fintech environment including Banking, Trading, payment gateways and knowledge of financial markets across region.
• A Fintech Fanatic

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies & Abilities:

• Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in using data entry software and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
• Basic knowledge of data management principles and best practices.
