Samsung Heavy Industries Nigeria (SHIN) is a key player in Nigeria's oil and gas and maritime industries, serving as the prime African subsidiary of the global shipbuilding giant, Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) of Korea. Established in August 2011, SHIN has a fabrication and integration yard in Lagos. This facility is notable as Africa's first-ever and only Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) integration yard.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Deckhand

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Requirements

• Minimum of First School Leaving Certificate.
• Proven experience as a Ferry Deckhand (Not less than 2 years on inland waterways).
• Proficiency in English and one other Nigerian language (Hausa, Igbo & Yoruba)
• Ability to adapt/ politely respond to different passenger complaints/ challenges.
• Excellent communication and complaint resolution skills
• Knowledge of life-saving and fire-fighting equipment.
• Must possess skills in steering, operating equipment.
• Ability to express oneself clearly, both in oral and writing.
• Must possess Government approved Boat Captains and Seaman certificates - STCW and other relevant certification

Salary
N160,000 monthly.
