Job Title: Environmental Laboratory Analyst

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

• Are you a meticulous and safety-conscious science professional with a passion for environmental quality? We're looking for an Environmental Laboratory Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for performing a variety of analyses on environmental samples like water, wastewater, gases, and soils. This involves:

• Conducting tests: Using a range of lab instruments to perform chemical, biochemical, physical, and biological analyses.
• Record keeping: Accurately recording and managing data, often using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Sample collection: Occasionally collecting environmental samples in the field.
• Method development: Developing and implementing new analytical methods when needed.
• Ensuring quality: Following strict quality assurance and safety protocols, including maintaining a legal chain of custody for samples.
• Maintaining equipment: Calibrating and maintaining laboratory instruments.

Qualifications

• Education: A minimum of a BSc, HND, or ND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or Science Laboratory Technology.

Skills:

• Proficiency in quantitative laboratory analysis and safety practices.
• Familiarity with LIMS, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
• Strong communication s
