Job Title: Factory Security Executive

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Reports To: Operations Security Manager

Role Positioning and Objectives

  • The purpose of the Factory Security Executive’s role is to execute, coordinate and implement action plans on a range of security issues with respect to factory security, finished goods while in the factory, and all internal warehouses in the factory. 
  • The general factory operations, including all aspects of personnel security, access control, running the security Command and Control Centre, journey management, and company information security are the primary areas of responsibility for this role.
  • In addition, support the Operations Security Manager in providing a coordinated and cost-effective security risk management service to ensure that all personnel, assets, and business operations/activities in the BAT Ibadan factory are effectively protected.
  • This must be achieved through managing the security measures to the agreed standard as well as the proactive identification, evaluation, and reporting of security threats faced by the Ibadan factory.

What You will be Accountable For

  • Monitor the performance of security service providers, security systems and security procedures pertaining to the Security Plan for the factory.
  • Identify and report any potential threats to factory operations and assets, personnel and visitors arising from security risks to the Operations Security Manager and provide advice on appropriate actions.
  • Inform the Operations Security Manager on poor security compliance and make suggestions on systems and/or procedural improvements.
  • Manage access control to the factory by maintaining the agreed security systems, security standards, search procedures and performance of contracted security personnel.
  • Create, Review and update SOP’s for the Ibadan factory. Task, develop and train security personnel to implement Sop’s.
  • Support the implementation of improvement initiatives and provide progress and status feedback to the Operations Security Manager.
  • Support the Operations Security Manager in all security related activities for the Ibadan Factory operations.
  • Provide subject matter input for security training and awareness programmes for all security personnel.
  • In collaboration with the Commercial Security Manager, provide security support to the field force personnel in Ibadan and neighbouring states.
  • Conduct the clear desk exercise in quarterly basis and issue the report in timely manner.
  • Support the assessment and investigation of incidents within the factory and provide recommendations on preventative measures to minimize future occurrence.
  • Provide frequent security reports to the Operations Security Manager on the performance of the service providers and security related operations and incidents.
  • Ensure that all physical and technical security systems and equipment are well maintained and in good working order and govern service providers’ compliance to security equipment maintenance standards.

Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management, Information Technology Systems, or Education in Security Administration or similar field will be an asset (CSMP, CPP, PSP).
  • Producing timely, accurate, detailed, and concise written and verbal reports.
  • Good anticipation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Presentation of security threats.
  • Security Supervision Certification would be an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in security management, preferably in an FMCG company.
  • Ability to manager 3rd parties and security service providers.
  • Working experience with Criminal Law, Government and Security agencies.
  • General knowledge of service provider contracts.
