Federal University, Gusau, Zamfara State - It is a conventional University established in January 2013 and currently has three faculties as follows: Faculty of Humanities and Education, Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Science with a plan for additional faculties.

Job Title: Principal Engineer (CONTISS 11) Location: Gusau, Zamfara Faculty: Engineering

Requirements

• Candidate should possess B.Sc degree (Engineering) or relevant field from a recognized institution with NYSC.
• Must have 9 years of cognate experience.

 

Job Title: Senior Engineer (CONTISS 9) Location: Gusau, Zamfara Faculty: Engineering

Requirements

• Candidate should possess B.Sc degree (Engineering) or relevant field from a recognized institution with NYSC.
• Must have 6 years of cognate experience.

Job Title: Engineer I (CONTISS 8) Location: Gusau, Zamfara Faculty: Engineering

Requirements

• Candidate should possess B.Sc degree (Engineering) or relevant field from a recognized institution with NYSC.
• Must have 3 years of cognate experience.

Job Title: Principal Farm Manager (CONTISS 13) Location: Gusau, Zamfara Faculty: Agriculture

Requirements

• Candidate should possess 5 O'Level credit pass (WAEC / NECO / GCE) including  English Language and Mathematics plus a Degree or equivalent in Agriculture or related discipline with at least 10 years work experience.
• A postgraduate degree or Diploma in Farm Management will be an added advantage.

Job Title: Chief Technologist (CONTISS 13) Location: Gusau, Zamfara Faculty: Technologist

Requirements Candidate should possess any of the following qualification:

• By promotion of a confirmed and suitable Assistant Chief Technologist with HND (or other equivalent Professional Qualifications) with a minimum of three years experience as Assistant Technologist plus Professional registration.

Requirement

• Candidate should possess a good HND. Must have spent 3 years on the post of Principal Technologist plus professional registration.

Job Title: Principal Technologist (CONTISS 11) Location: Gusau, Zamfara Faculty: Technologist

Requirements Candidate should possess any of the following qualification:

• A good HND with minimum of 9 years post qualification experience plus professional registration OR
• A good HND with M.Tech in same discipline plus a minimum of Nine (9) years post qualification experience.

Job Title: Senior Technologist I (CONTISS 10) Location: Gusau, Zamfara Faculty: Technologist

Requirements Candidate should possess any of the following qualification:

• A good HND (or other recognized equivalent qualification) plus a minimum of 9 years post qualification experience OR
• Or other recognized equivalent professional qualifications, plus a minimum of Fifteen(15) years post qualification experience OR
• HND plus M.Tech in the same discipline with a minimum of three (6) years post qualification experience.

Job Title: Senior Technologist II (CONTISS 9) Location: Gusau, Zamfara Faculty: Technologist

Requirements Candidate should possess any of the following qualification:

• A good HND (or other recognized equivalent qualification) plus a minimum of 6 years post qualification experience OR
• Or other recognized equivalent professional qualifications, plus a minimum of Twelve (12) years post qualification experience OR
• HND plus M.Tech in the same discipline with a minimum of three (3) years post

Job Title: Technologist I (CONTISS 8) Location: Gusau, Zamfara Faculty: Technologist

Requirements

• Candidate should possess a good HND in relevant discipline not below lower credit level plus registration with institute of Science Laboratory Technology with at least 3 years work experience.
• Candidate should possess other recognise professional qualifications plus at least a minimum of 6 years post qualification experience OR a holder of HND plus M.Tech. degree in same discipline

Job Title: Technologist II (CONTISS 7) Location: Gusau, Zamfara Faculty: Technologist

Requirements

• Candidate should possess a good HND in relevant discipline not below lower credit level plus registration with institute of Science Laboratory Technology
• In addition, the candidate should possess 5 O'Level credits pass (WAEC / NECO /  GCE) including English Language and Mathematics

Job Title: Chief Procurement Officer Location: Gusau, Zamfara

Job Responsibilities

• Design standard procurement programme and review from time to time;
• Monitor the performance and efficiency on costs;
• Prepare memoranda for procurement procedure; and
• Performing other duties that may be assigned by the Vice-Chancellor.
• Supervise, monitor an co-ordinate the activities of procurement unit;
• Prepare a procurement plan for the University for the short and long run;
• Prepare report for management Annually, quarterly and other formal reports for action of the University management and Vice-Chancellor;

Qualifications and Experience Candidates for the position of the Chief Procurement Officer should possess:

• Possession of relevant higher degree or Postgraduate Professional qualifications in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
• Bureau for Public Procurement Certificate of conversion will be an added advantage.
• He / she must show evidence of leadership qualities, integrity and team work.
• Twelve (12) years of relevant cognate experience in procurement activities in a tertiary institution or public service. He / she must have reached the position of Principal Procurement Officer I or its equivalent.
• Be competent in relevant computer / ICT operation.

• Excellent verbal, and written communication skills;
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills; and
• Should not be older than Sixty (60) years by the time of appointment.
• Candidate must have exhibited in the past, considerable ability, competence, industry and moral integrity;
