Job Description

• As a Fibre Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fibre optic networks, ensuring the infrastructure meets the required quality and safety standards.
• You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth operations and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain fibre optic cables and associated equipment
• Perform fibre splicing, termination, and testing of fibre optic cables
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on fibre networks
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and reports
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines on-site
• Provide support to clients and contractors as required
• Troubleshoot and repair fibre optic systems and network issues
• Ensure the fibre network infrastructure is installed according to company specifications and industry standards

Qualifications

• Relevant technical certification or diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• At least 2 years of experience in fibre optic installations and maintenance
• Knowledge of fibre optic splicing, termination, testing, and fault-finding
• Experience working with various types of fibre optic cables and network components
