We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Head, IT and Projects

Location: Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Governance:

  • Develop and implement the organization’s IT and project strategy in alignment with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on IT performance, risks, projects, and investments.
  • Advise management on emerging technologies relevant to card manufacturing, personalization, and payment systems.
  • Establish IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards in line with industry best practices.

IT Operations & Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure and resilient IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and data centers.
  • Ensure high availability of production systems supporting card manufacturing and personalization operations.
  • Manage third-party vendors, OEMs, system integrators, and service providers.
  • Ensure effective IT service management (incident, problem, change, and capacity management).

Information Security & Compliance:

  • Ensure full compliance with applicable standards and regulations, including but not limited to:
  • PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard)
  • EMV specifications
  • Oversee access control, key management, encryption, logging, monitoring, and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, risk assessments, and penetration tests.
  • Drive continuous improvement in cybersecurity posture and business continuity planning.
  • ISO 27001 / ISO 22301 (where applicable)
  • Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR)
  • Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) guidelines and industry directives

Project & Programme Management:

  • Lead and oversee all IT and operational projects through a structured Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams involving operations, compliance, security, and external partners.
  • Track project risks, dependencies, milestones, and benefits realization.

Applications & Systems Management:

  • Oversee core card manufacturing and personalization systems, including personalization software, HSMs, key management systems, ERP, and supporting applications.
  • Ensure systems are properly configured, documented, patched, and supported.
  • Drive system upgrades, migrations, and process automation initiatives.

Budgeting & Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the IT and project budgets, ensuring cost optimization and value for money.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to support operational and project demands.
  • Build and retain a high-performing IT and project management team through coaching and performance management.

Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement:

  • Act as the primary IT liaison with regulators, scheme auditors, banks, fintech partners, and card schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, Verve).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support new product launches and client onboarding.
  • Support management during regulatory reviews, certifications, and partner due diligence exercises.

Academic Qualification & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A postgraduate degree and relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
