We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Health, Safety & Environment Officer 

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Purpose

• To further PEOPL commitment to improving Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance by implementing health safety and environment objectives and compliance with local regulatory requirements, to prevent injury and maintain a safe working environment.

The Job

• Coordinate the preparation and presentation of Health and safety training for safety committee members.
• Carrying out regular site inspections/safety audit to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
• To provide and maintain clearly marked muster and fire assembly points and ensure that they are always free of obstruction,
• To provide first aid facilities and ensure that first Aid replaceable kits are up to date, available and accessible.
• Also to conduct routine inspection of first aid kits and facilities.
• Understand the company’s food safety policy, its objective, and the benefits of an improved food safety management system.
• Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risk could be reduced.
• Carrying out Investigation, reporting and recording of incident (includes near miss, unsafe act and condition) as well as accidents.
• Provide and maintain walkways and ensure that vehicle and pedestrian walkways are not obstructed.

Qualifications and Experience

• B.Sc Degree in a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of  4 years’ cognate experience.

• Committed to food safety management.
• Proactive and detail-oriented in ensuring safety standards.
• Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
