Job Description

• We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our branch in Agbara.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and driving initiatives to minimize workplace risks and hazards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and enforce health, safety and environmental policies in line with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
• Maintain accurate health and safety records and prepare monthly compliance reports.
• Liaise with relevant regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture across all departments.
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks and awareness programs for staff.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 3 to 5 years within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISPON will be an added advantage.
