Royal Residences by Design Union is 5 Star Hotel on the Victoria Island providing high end hotelling experience for exclusive individuals.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Hotel Porter
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Summary

Greet guests and carrying luggage to and from their room.
Show guests to their room and explaining the facilities
Keep the lobby and reception area tidy and collect hotel laundry.
Cover the reception desk, dealing with enquiries by phone and face-to-face.
Deal alone with problems arising in the night; if necessary transferring guests into a different room.
In case of fire or emergency, make sure that guests are evacuated safely.
Look after keys and left luggage
Answer guests’ questions about the hotel and local points of interest
Arrange transport and making restaurant and theatre bookings for guests

Requisite Qualifications / Experience

Required Skills / Attributes:

This is an active job.
Ability to carry heavy loads, possibly up and down stairs, and move heavy furniture.
Good interpersonal and people management skills and negotiating skills
Self-motivated and team player
Must be presentable, professional and confident in the discharge of duties.
Able to work work shifts, including early mornings, nights and weekends.
It involves wearing a uniform provided by the hotel.
Excellent client management skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
