Human Resource Executive at International Health Management Services (IHMS)

The International Health Management Services (IHMS) is a national Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) established in 2001 to provide Social Health Insurance cover to individuals and groups under the National Health Insurance scheme and private health insurance services to interested individuals and groups. It is owned by medical practitioners and Institutional investors.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resource Executive

Location: Marina, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Work with Head, HR to strategically plan HR initiatives that will benefit the company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work from employees.
• Work with the head, HR in hiring and training procedures for new employees and also implement effective sourcing, screening and interviewing techniques.
• Regularly meet with employees for progress reviews and assessments, discussing any problems or grievances they may have
• Promote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues
• Understand and adhere to all pertinent labor laws
• Assess training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for all employees
• Continually educate employees on company policies (including sexual harassment, appropriate dress, and social media permissions, etc.) and keep employee handbook current.
• Monitor employee progress and stay abreast on company climate and culture, ensuring it stays positive and productive

Requirements

• B.Sc in Human Resources Management or relevant field.
• 1 - 3 years work experience.
• Experience with full-cycle recruiting.
• Good knowledge of labor legislation (particularly employment contracts, employee leaves and insurance)
• Demonstrable leadership abilities.
• Solid communication skills.
• Proven work experience as HR Executive or similar role.
• Familiarity with Human Resources Management Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems.
