Job Title: Information Technology Auditor

Location: Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The IT Auditor will be responsible for evaluating and enhancing the organization's information systems, technology infrastructure, and related internal controls to ensure data integrity, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute risk-based IT audit plans aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of IT controls, systems, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct audits of IT general controls, application controls, database management, network security, and cybersecurity measures.
• Identify IT-related risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation and control improvements.
• Prepare clear, concise, and well-documented audit reports for management, identifying weaknesses, risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Monitor implementation of agreed audit recommendations and ensure timely resolution.
• Present audit findings to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT, risk, compliance, and business units to enhance overall control environment.
• Advice departments on IT control implications of new projects, systems, or technologies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial industry regulations e.g. Insurance guidelines, NDPR, IFRS, ISO 27001, COBIT, and NIST.
• Assess disaster recovery and business continuity planning and readiness.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications either CISA, CISM, CIA, CRISC, or ISO 27001 are highly desirable.
• Experience with auditing core financial services applications, ERP systems, cybersecurity frameworks, and cloud platforms is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant IT audit or information security experience in the financial services sector.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of IT auditing standards and techniques.
• Ability to assess complex systems and identify control weaknesses.
• Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong report-writing and communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of financial systems, core banking platforms, and cybersecurity principles.

Salary
N500,000 - N800,000 / month.
