Located in TGI Group’s multi-factory complex situated in Sagamu, Ogun State, WACUB Limited is already making waves in the food seasoning market with its flagship brands. The first in this unique range of products is the Terra Seasoning Cube which comes in both Chicken and Beef variants

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Inventory Accountant

Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role
Inventory:

  • Stock Taking: Verification and Control on weekly (cycle) and Month-end counts of Warehouse inventory of Raw, Packing Materials, Spares and Consumables.
  • Conduct surprise checks on inventory to ascertain stock position and adherence to inventory processes and controls.
  • Invoice Processing: Processing Vendors invoices while ensuring 3-way check of PO, GRN and Invoice.
  • Inventory Sub Ledger and General Ledger Reconciliation Report
  • Inventory Report - Warehouse/ Spares & Consumables
  • Weekly preparation of Spares and Consumables Ageing Report
  • Continuous assessment of the inventory control environment with a view of ensuring its adequacy and where necessary introduce controls to block any identified gap(s).
  • Carry out surprise checks on FG loaded trucks to ascertain adherence to the controls.
  • Preparation of Monthly and year-end Inventory Schedules reconciled to general ledger accounts.
  • Providing explanation to both internal and external auditors on inventory related queries.
  • Advance Payment: Processing of advance payments for both local and foreign vendors.

Fixed Asset:

  • Creation of capex for approval and adequate documentation of PPE records.
  • Preparation of PPE Schedule reconciled to the general ledger account.
  • Preparation Capex/budget variance report.
  • Ensuring all company assets are tagged for verification purposes.
  • Ensuring purchased PPE are recognized in line with company policies and financial reporting framework.
  • Computation of monthly depreciation of PPE and posting to the relevant ledger accounts.

Insurance:

  • Monthly review of insurance cover and providing information on additional cover.
  • Monthly recognition of insurance expense for financial reporting purpose.
  • Ensuring adequate records are kept on insurance covers for audit purpose.
  • Ensure data is used or processed for the purpose set for such data and ensure absolute confidentiality while processing or using personal data.

Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Financial Controller.

Education / Experience & Other Requirements

  • A minimum of B.Sc in Finance / Accounting or any other related discipline.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS, Inventory and PPE management.
  • Good data gathering, analysis, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • 2-4 years experience in similar role from any FMCG Factory/Plant environment is mandatory.
  • Relevant Professional qualification (ACA / ACCA) is required.
