Job Title: Network Manager, Lake Chad Basin Region

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Description

  • Zinc Network are seeking a Network Manager who will be assisting our Campaign Manager to deliver a new project in North Nigeria and the Lake Chad Basin region.
  • The role will be based within the region and may involve travel between the project countries. This task involves monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budget and expenditures, organising and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner.
  • To be successful as a Network Manager, you will need to be able to work on tight deadlines, be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, and have exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Please note: Hiring will be dependent upon receipt of funding.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
  • Organising, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Determining project changes.
  • Providing administrative support as needed.
  • Undertaking project tasks as required.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
  • Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.

Requirements

  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English and French

Job Title: Training Manager, Lake Chad Basin Region

Location: Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria

Description

  • Zinc Network are seeking a Training Manager to support the delivery of a new project in North Nigeria and the Lake Chad Basin region. The role will be based within the region and will involve travel between the project countries.
  • The role will involve training a group of mentors across the region who know the local communities well and can identify vulnerable young people to support. Mentors will support young people by helping them to obtain vocational skills, signposting them to support services such as drug and alcohol services and psychosocial services and providing media literacy workshops.
  • Please note: Hiring will be dependent upon receipt of funding.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support in the areas of training needs assessments, training plan development, delivery, train-the-trainer, learning strategies, and training evaluation reports
  • Create a pool of trained mentors that can identify and support vulnerable young people across the region
  • Contributes to creating a learning culture. Communicates importance of learning and capacity building to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifies learning methodologies and tools that most effectively builds the capacity of mentors
  • Develops materials, including but not limited to instructor guides, participant guides, and job aides
  • Oversees a cadre of external training resources to provide targeted activity management training courses
  • Supports the development of documentation, resources, and written materials relating to the training programs, including manuals development, updates, use, and refreshes, standard operating procedures, and workshop materials to support consistent quality assurance
  • Facilitates training workshops and meetings, and is responsible for developing agendas to achieve stated objectives, documenting progress, agreements, and issues, and providing follow up assistance as required
  • Manages internal and external training logistics including virtual sessions
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of technically relevant work experience
  • Extensive regional knowledge of Nigeria and the Lake Chad Basin
  • Ability to actively listen, build rapport and trust
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Demonstrated leadership, management skills, and integrity
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.

Job Title: Campaign Manager, Lake Chad Basin region

Location: Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria
Job Type: Contract

Description

  • Zinc Network are seeking a Campaign Manager to deliver a new project in North Nigeria and the Lake Chad Basin region.
  • The role will be based within the region and will involve travel between the project countries. As Campaign Manager (based in Nigeria or the region), you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of all creative products delivered through the campaign.
  • You will need to support significant research and contextual analysis activities to ensure the relevance and suitability of all activities. You will be required to create project scopes, estimates and project plans to ensure the smooth execution of all campaign activities.
  • Please note: Hiring will be dependent upon receipt of funding.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client and external stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for the project and building trust and confidence in the project team.
  • Ensure all client expectations for your campaigns are understood and communicated quickly and effectively and escalating where these are unrealistic.
  • Ultimate responsibility for campaigns being delivered on time, on budget and in line with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain visibility of all the work going on across departments in relation to your campaigns to ensure it is aligned with the client’s needs and expectations.
  • Responsibility for project budgets - monitoring project spend to ensure delivery within budget - KPIs and campaign effectiveness reviews.
  • Ensure delivery is in line with contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • Be educated to an advanced level
  • Have experience in developing and leading national communications campaigns
  • Have experience liaising with high level diplomatic and political stakeholders
  • Have experience working through a range of media from digital to broadcast and outdoor
  • Have prior experience working in cross functional communications teams
  • Have an interest in behaviour change or awareness communications
  • Fluency in English and French
