Job Title: Underwriting Officer

Location: Abuja
Position: Deputy Manager

Responsibilities
The suitably qualified candidate would be responsible for the following:

  • Developing and implementing risk assessment and management strategies in providing cost-effective health care plan that will steer the company to profitability.
  • Analyzing all applications according to set criteria.
  • Liaising with medical personnel and field representative for feedbacks and recommendations.
  • Liaising with in-house actuary for review of costing and pricing of package.
  • Claims management
  • Liaising with the finance department to confirm all payments paid, claims paid, and other underwriting expenses.
  • Determining appropriate package for all applicant and assessing the risk
  • Deciding whether to offer cover.
  • Determining appropriate premium and cover

Requirements
The basic requirements for this role is listed below:

  • First Degree in Insurance, Actuary Science or Social Science
  • Professional Certification (CllN)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advance skills in presentation and office suite
  • Must have 7 - 10 years relevant working experience
  • Good knowledge of risk assessment and claims management skills
  • Good knowledge àf underwriting

 

 

 

 

Job Title: Senior Finance Officer

Location: Abuja
Position: Senior Officer

Responsibilities
The suitably qualified candidate would be responsible for the following:

  • Reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.
  • Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
  • Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Analyzing financial information and summarize financial status
  • Spotting errors and suggesting ways to improve efficiency and spending
  • Reviewing and recommending modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Managing all accounting tasks
  • Participating in financial standards setting and in forecast process
  • Providing input into the department’s goal-setting process
  • Preparing financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
  • Assisting with tax audits and tax returns
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close process

Job Title: Assistant Auditor

Location: Abuja
Position: Executive Trainee

Responsibilities
The suitably qualified candidate would be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting Internal Auditor in developing audit plan, budget and timelines for assigned project.
  • Providing assistance to Auditor to completing annual audits within preset deadlines.
  • Developing audit scope and audit program for assigned project.
  • Providing updates to Auditor about project status on regular basis.
  • Developing audit reports including results, conclusions and recommendations.
  • Detecting internal control deficiencies and recommending necessary corrective measures.
  • Developing standard methodologies to compile and prepare statistical statements and financial reports.
  • Ensuring that previous years’ audit recommendations are implemented and errors are resolved properly.
  • Overseeing work schedule, job assignment, and disciplinary procedures of audit staffs.
  • Performing audit activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Job Title: Chief Internal Auditor

Location: Abuja
Position: Deputy Manager

Responsibilities
The suitably qualified candidate would be responsible for the following:

  • Performing and controlling the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
  • Determining internal audit scope and develop annual plans
  • Responsible for developing compliance programs, reviewing company policies, and advising management on possible risks.
  • Ensuring that business processes and transactions follow all relevant legal and internal guidelines.
  • Obtaining, analyzing and evaluating accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc.
  • Preparing and presenting periodic reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
  • Acting as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
  • Identifying loopholes and recommending risk aversion measures and cost savings
  • Maintaining open communication with management and audit committee
  • Documenting process and preparing audit findings memorandum
  • Conducting follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
  • Engaging in continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
