Greentech Industry Limited is foremost indigenous value added technology driven manufacturer and processor of cassava tubers, corn and sweet potatoes into pharmaceutical and food grade industrial starch. Our current annual installed production line processing capacity is 200,000 metric tons of raw cassava root tubers with the plan to activate second production line of similar capacity using corn as feedstock. GTI products are processed to serve both the local and international pharmaceutical and food/beverage native starch markets.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Microbiologist

Location: Agbara, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Performing microbiological analyses on samples collected from food processing facilities to determine possible causes of contamination
• Identifying the types of microorganisms present in a food sample and determining the risk they pose to human health
• Conducting research on food-borne illnesses including salmonella, E. coli, and staph infections
• Educating staff about proper food handling techniques and safe food storage practices
• Developing and managing laboratories and quality control processes.
• Conducting research to develop new ways to detect harmful bacteria in food products
• Consulting with food manufacturers to determine which bacteria may be present in their products and how these organisms may affect shelf life
• Assessing the risk of foodborne illness associated with various foods to determine whether they are safe for consumption
• Conducting tests to evaluate new food processing methods or equipment that could improve food safety
• Analyzing samples taken from food processing facilities to identify possible sources of contamination

Requirements

• Minimum of HND / Btech / Bsc in Microbiology or related Degree
• In-depth experience of Microbiological analysis
• Strong verbal and written communicator
• Good description and presentation skill.
