Job Title: Payroll Analyst
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose Statement

  • The Payroll Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees.
  • The role involves managing various aspects of payroll administration, compliance with local regulations, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing:

  • Collect and process data related to employee work hours, leave, bonuses, and other payroll-related inputs.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant labor laws in Nigeria.
  • Collaborate with HR to update employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.

Compliance:

  • Stay updated on changes in local tax laws, labor regulations, and other statutory requirements related to payroll.
  • Ensure payroll processes adhere to legal and regulatory standards in Nigeria.
  • Prepare and submit required payroll-related reports to government agencies.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate reports for management to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Communication and Support:

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to address and resolve payroll-related discrepancies.

System Maintenance:

  • Utilize and maintain payroll software to facilitate accurate and efficient processing.
  • Assist in the implementation and upgrading of payroll systems.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven experience in payroll processing and administration, preferably in a similar industry or organization.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
