Job Title: People and Culture Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

  • We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Officer to support our Human Resources function across recruitment, learning and development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of modern HR practices, effective communication skills, and the practical use of AI tools to improve people processes and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end recruitment activities, including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Assist with performance management processes, employee engagement initiatives, and HR reporting.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable labor regulations.
  • Coordinate and support Learning and Development (L&D) programs, including training needs analysis, scheduling, and evaluation of learning outcomes.
  • Utilize AI tools and HR technologies to enhance recruitment, training, reporting, and employee experience.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A Degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
  • 1 – 3 years of relevant experience in a Human Resources or People Operations role.
  • Preferably MALE.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Practical knowledge and hands-on experience using AI tools and digital HR platforms.
  • Working knowledge of recruitment and selection processes.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound understanding of Learning and Development principles and practices.
