Caring Habitat is a 40-room purpose-built inpatient skilled nursing and rehabilitation hospital designed to complement the health outcomes of patients through the delivery robust rehabilitation program.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Psychologist

Location: Abraham Adesanya, Lekki - Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Work Schedule: Twice a week

Position Overview

• The Psychologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation, to individuals [and/or families, groups] facing a wide range of mental health challenges.
• This role requires a strong commitment to ethical practice, cultural competence, and continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including diagnostic interviews, psychometric testing, and behavioral observations, to accurately diagnose mental health conditions and formulate treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized evidence-based treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic therapy, family systems therapy) tailored to client needs and presenting concerns.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans when appropriate.
• Offer consultation and psychoeducation to clients, families, and/or other professionals on mental health topics.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision, case conferences, and professional development activities.
• Adhere to all ethical guidelines and legal requirements pertaining to the practice of psychology.
• Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions to clients.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and holistic client care.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies as needed.
• Attend to other tasks as assigned by relevant authorities.

Qualifications

• At least a BSC/HND in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or any other related courses from an accredited institution.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Valid license to practice as a psychologist.
• At least 3 years of working experience post NYSC.
• Proven experience working as a psychologist or in a similar role.

Salary
N400,000 per month.
