We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Recycling Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting line: Chief Sustainability Officer

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of recycling including but is not limited to the following:

• Provide overall coordination of the factory operations, including but not limited to purchase of raw materials, inventory management and stock control, production process, quality control, process and cost optimization of the production process.
• Outbound shipping and other logistics.
• Develop a protocol to recruit and nurture potential entrepreneurs who can set up franchise outlets for the recycle brand.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation
• Develop and Manage customers/client base.
• Ensures adequate collection of waste bottles to sustain operations at the plant.
• Understand the commercials of recycle materials.
• Manage the recycling facilities and equipment with the team under the supervision of the Chief Sustainability Officer
• Investigating and deploying new waste recycling schemesunder the supervision of the Chief Sustainability Officer
• Analyse recyclables volumes, and prepare statistics and reports with the supervision of the CSO
• Coordinate and manage the recycling teams/operatives.
• Dealing with enquiries and complaints from the general public.
• Keeping up to date with best practice and relevant legislations regarding recycling
• Deploy added value process for recycling streams
• Ensure the factory is running smoothly at all times.
• Lead a team of Operation and production staff to ensure the effective running of the factory.
• Ensure safety and environmental policies and guidelines are established and followed through.
• Drive factory operations towards 99% uptime, zero defects and zero HSE &Enviromental incidents.
• Provide detailed operations reports and updates
• Manage operations at the plant and oversee collectors (inbound and outbound).
• Develop and implement policies to help people recycle more easily, give advice to the public and run events and schemes to promote recycling.
• Manage Mottainai Recycling Franchisees with supervision of the CSO
• Coordinate and monitor the efficiency of recyclables pick up from residence and commercials.
• Respond to queries and complaints from the clients regarding recycling
• Handle general inquiries directed at the recycling department.
• Routine visit to community based recycling centres, companies, schools and community organisations
• Keep statistical records of recyclables collected daily and inventory of recyclables at the hub.

Educational & Work Experience

• HND / B.Sc in a related field
• Minimum of 5 years cognate experience in similar role
• Previous experience in leading start-ups will be an added advantage and working within a recycling company overseeing operations
• Territorial Knowledge of recycling within Ibadan , Oyo State.

Salary
N150,000 monthly.
