Job Title: Scrum Master

Location: Gbagada, Lagos

The Position
We are looking for an ambitious and result-oriented genius to join our engineering team as a Scrum Master to ensure agile delivery is understood and followed within the team.

Job Summary

• This role oversees the design, planning and implementation of projects, ensuring that teams have appropriate business and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively.
• The role holder will be responsible for ensuring agile delivery is understood and followed within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate demos, retrospection at the end of each sprint and filter the learning for the next sprint.
• Identify best practices and ensure that they are well implemented.
• Resolve any issues that may arise.
• Review estimates created by the team and provide feedback/ inputs.
• Help the team write the requirement as a user story.
• Facilitate all interactions that the team has with the product owner to gather and prioritize the requirements
• Review documented requirements as shared by the product owner
• Document the learning / outcome of retrospection notes.
• Collate metrics to track progress and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor team members to develop agile capabilities, self-organization, etc.
• Maintain oversight on the work of the scrum team under purview.
• Guide the teams towards improving the scrum way of working including ensuring cross term coordination
• Facilitate daily standup meetings, sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos.
• Track metrics (eg velocity, code quality, defect density across all phases, code review metrics, testing metrics) for each sprint, report the same to the management.
• Review and share observations on bug status, closure.

Must Have

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree
• Understanding of the overall product roadmap as articulated by the product owner and translate roadmap into team-specific release planning and sprint planning.
• Experience in application development projects using Microservices/DevOps/Cloud.
• Experience working on Java, Spring boot technologies.

Job Experience:

• Minimum 4 years experience in a scrum role
• Understanding of the overall product roadmap as articulated by the product owner and translate roadmap into team-specific release planning and sprint planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Experience in application development projects using Microservices/DevOps/Cloud
• Experience working on Java, Spring boot technologies.
