Senior Accountant in a Reputable Oil Exploration and Production Company

We are a reputable Oil Exploration and Production Company with active operatorship of prolific blocks and Oil and Gas Assets in the Niger Delta. As a result of our new expansion and development programmes, we are seeking to engage experienced, passionate and resourceful Managing Director and other Management topshotsin Drilling, Completions, Facilities Management, Accounts, Commercial and Legal.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Minimum Knowledge and Key Accountabilities

• Preparing Financial Statements for Management decision.
• Managing the Financial and Management Accounting Processes on a daily basis. 
• Implementing approved Accounting Processes, Systems and Controls for Products and Services.
• Rendering accurate and timely returns to appropriate Statutory Regulatory Authorities, in compliance with all applicable requirements.
• Planning, organizing and implementing Accounting Operations towards achievement of established goals and objectives.
• Conduct risk assessment reviews from time to time, to determine key audit areas.
• Ensuring all Creditors' balances are diligently and completely recorded and accounted for on a daily basis.
• Monitoring and managing Stock, and ensuring Inventories are properly kept. 

Qualifications Experience and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Engineering, or any other relevant discipline.
• Working knowledge of Oracle ERP and Accounts Management tools.
• Good knowledge of telecommunications industry dynamics will be an added advantage.
• Good background in Audit, Stock
• Management Processes and MIS compulsory.
• Minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience in Accounts / Finance related Job function.
• Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACA/ ACCA).
• High degree of Integrity, Confidentiality, Confidence and ability to adapt to Company Culture.
