Job Title: Senior Product Manager
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

  • The key purpose of the role is to translate our strategic product vision into actionable development plans and ensure successful delivery.
  • This involves leading the Software Development and Delivery Team to drive application execution in the Africa Zone, being responsible for delivering and supporting the execution ecosystem of products across all countries in the Africa Zone, and leading development teams to build the appropriate features, enhancements, and interfaces to achieve project deliverables.

Key Outputs and Responsibilities
Product Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and maintain detailed development execution roadmaps and ensure alignment with product team on key KPIs, business objectives and product roadmap execution
  • Support the Product team with the Development team to assist  from a technical perspective to translate high-level product ideas, features, enhancements into detailed requirements and user stories.
  • Work with the Product team to Prioritize product features, based on stakeholder needs, market research, and business goals.
  • Manage the Scrum Master and Scrum Analysts in terms of Daily scrums, Routines to drive a robust Software Deployment process 

Software Development and Build  Ownership: 

  • Support Development team to review the code based on the project requirements and specifications.
  • Compile the code and check for errors. Create a Development upskilling for Developers to assist each other on code review
  • Work with DWI Product team to notify on deployments and communication to stakeholders.
  • Address any bugs or issues that arise and deploy updates as needed.
  • Look for opportunities to Optimize the performance of the software based on monitoring data and user feedback.
  • Look for opportunities to Incorporate security practices at every stage of the deployment process to protect against vulnerabilities.
  • Develop a  technical onboarding framework for Key Software Framework
  • Integrate different modules and components to ensure they work together.
  • Work with Development team to introduce Unit Testing, Integration Testing and System Testing into Code Development
  • Manage Pre-Deployment Testing through final testing to ensure

Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior product managers and other team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the product team.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor a team of software developers, QA engineers, and other technical staff.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and address any issues or roadblocks.

Project Management:

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of product features.
  • Manage development sprint timelines, track progress, and resolve any issues that arise in conjunction with the DWI Product Team
  • Conduct regular status meetings with DWI Product Team

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Utilize analytics and user feedback to inform product decisions and improve user experience in conjunction with DWI Product Team
  • Monitor product performance and key metrics and make data-driven adjustments, as necessary.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical development team to deliver products that meet business requirements by working closely with DWI Logistics team, clients, technicians, and managerial staff.
  • Supporting DevOps process with the development engineering team
  • Ensuring solutions rolled out meet business needs and requirements in conjunction with the Tech Logistics Team
  • Manage multiple projects on multiple sites by ensuring clear delegation of duties and effective communication
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and communicate effectively to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Work with the technical development and operations team to improve execution products.
  • Work closely with the D Tech Logistics team,  scrum master, scrum team, and external customers and stakeholders to deliver technology products that our customers love and that create value for our business

Profile: 

  • Proven track record delivering projects within agreed timelines
  • Well articulated and structured communication skills is a mandate as the person will be pivotal in communicating with the development team.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills with an ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
  • Strong understanding of Agile & Scrum with a proven track record of delivery
  • Business Analysis skills
  • Software Delivery Experience
  • Understanding of ABInBev Logistics and Planning principles
  • Retains the pulse of domain or business area by remaining connected to various stakeholder groups.

Requirements
Education:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant degree.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of IT Management, Business Analysis, product management experience, with a strong focus on software product execution.
  • Sound Experience in warehousing & transportation in an FMCG organization
  • Sound knowledge of DevOps processes and Agile methodology
