Job Title: Senior Sales Manager

Location: Lagos

Main Responsibilities

  • Ability to engage at all levels within prospective and new customers.
  • Responsible for developing and executing initiatives to increase market share amongst clients / customers by offering bespoke solutions that meet their business needs.
  • Must possess strong business acumen and ability to decern real and viable projects to allow better resource utilization.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all customer requirements are met in terms of solution specification, responsibility matrixes, contract terms etc.
  • Responsible for developing business plan for customers/clients’ engagements in each business sector.
  • Responsible for profitability during the entire sales stage
  • Responsible for proper documentation of all customer visits and submissions.
  • Must possess good diction and ability to review contracts thoroughly
  • Must possess strong market intelligence and competitor knowledge.
  • Responsible for aggressive pursuit of potential customer to grow the Starsight addressable market.
  • Responsible for ensuring quarterly targets are achieved
  • Responsible for driving sales, profitability, and growth in new segments and so on, across the country.
  • Responsible for ensuring Due-Diligence and KYC processes are followed through during the sales process.
  • Responsible for ensuring adequate approvals are acquired before any technical and commercial submissions are made.

Leadership:

  • Provide strategic input to the business to ensure that the business strategy and the supporting functional strategies are well thought through, clearly articulated, and regularly monitored.
  • Create a high-performance focused culture through personal leadership, teamwork, and the development of individual accountability for performance.
  • Support the Executive and Board in the development of the company’s marketing strategy to ensure alignment with the company brand and strategic goals.
  • Risk Management
  • Identify and be responsible for potential major risks, highlighting any potential concerns in an appropriate and timely manner. For identified risks, priorities and ensure that a robust action plan, with monitoring is put in place.
  • Foster open and positive culture where employee input is encouraged, and differences are resolved constructively.
  • Marketing & Promotion
  • To support the company strategy, establish, develop, protect and promote the company brand, ensuring that the brand values are clearly visible externally and embedded into the company’s DNA internally.

Key Requirements

  • MBA will be an advantage.
  • Must possess +10 years of continuous work experience in sales, sales operations and customer facing roles.
  • Ability to engage senior management and C-Suite executives in multiple C&I organizations.
  • Ability to manage sales processes for individual customers/clients
  • Ability to increase the Starsight market share
  • Expertise in the use of all Microsoft Office suite tools and CRM
  • Ability to assess opportunities to confirm best fit for the Starsight model
  • Ability to articulate the Starsight value proposition.
  • Achievement of quarterly and annual sales and margin targets
  • Ability to initiate and execute sales process with new customers and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work seamlessly within the technical and commercial team
  • Ability to develop, interpret and report business cases using MS PowerPoint slides
