Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

About the Job

• We are seeking a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer that will oversee the design, analysis, and implementation of structural systems for a wide range of projects, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, bridges, and infrastructure developments. 
• This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of buildings, foundations, and civil structures
• Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations
• Conduct structural inspections, site visits, and oversee construction activities
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
• Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and proposal development
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver quality solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering design and project management
• Deep knowledge of local and international building codes (e.g., Eurocodes, ACI, BS)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification is an advantage
• Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit)
