Job Title: Senior Technical Coordinator

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are looking for an experienced Technical Professional in the Maritime space. This professional must be well-equipped with Maritime equipment and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and monitoring the day-to-day running of AFSS warehouse, field operations, and tugs to ensure smooth progress.
  • Assist the head of the department to improve operations processes in line with industry standards.
  • Assist in promoting existing technical and safety policies and ensuring their implementation.
  • Liaise with the Head of Operations in coordinating budget, services, and commodities within company policy and procedure.
  • Carry out maintenance, coordinating and supervising activities of maintenance and technical support.
  • Manage field and offshore employee performance, development, and training.
  • Coordinate operations officers on job achievement.
  • Maintain records of all technical processes and assets.
  • Maintain and updates records of all technical Inventory, reports, and logs to the Head of operations.
  • Offshore and field workers' welfare is coordinated and closed out in line with SOP.
  • Liaise with the necessary department for the company equipment, warehouse, tugs, and boat welfare.
  • Assist the Head of operations in contract applications and audit process for the company · Conducting business relationship management to improve company image where necessary.
  • Assist the Head of Operations to ensure Regulation compliance for Yokohama and equipment/tug/boat manufacturers.
  • Ensures cost-effective purchase is made on technical supply and purchases.
  • Ensures that critical information is communicated appropriately to the line manager.
  • Monitors daily progress of field reports and projects.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained as per maintenance policy or based on the procedure.
  • Ensures certifications of equipment are done adequately with a certified and experienced contractor.

Requirements

  • Good University Degree or its equivalent with 5+ years relevant work experience.
  • Professional accreditation is an advantage
  • Experience in maritime equipment and operations
  • Great communication skills.
  • Good leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
