Responsibilities

FX vendor settlements (Payments) and Reconciliations.
Ensuring that export proceeds are received into the Company's domiciliary account and properly recorded.
Setting realistic yet challenging objectives with your direct boss throughout the year, ensuring they are SMART.
Conducting periodic reviews of your performance (bi-annual and monthly informal reviews) with your direct boss.
Requesting feedback on your performance in a timely manner.
Bank reconciliation: Ensuring that all ledger bank accounts are accurately and timely reconciled with bank statements.
Reporting outstanding reconciliatory items for investigation to ensure cashbook balances reflect the Group's actual cash/overdraft positions.
Verifying interest, bank fees, and LC charges to ensure compliance with agreed rates with the banks and apply for refunds for overcharges.
Monitoring and reporting on customer collection accounts.
Escalating unresolved issues to your immediate boss and relevant authorities for further investigation and resolution.

Qualifications

A B.Sc. in Accountancy or an MBA in Financial Management.
Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Proficiency in computer applications, especially in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
