Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Location: Kano

Job Description

Meeting and managing customers, suppliers and distributors
Plans and performs work that involves inspecting, returning, unloading, shelving, packing, labelling, pricing, delivering, and maintaining a perpetual inventory of forms, office supplies, and various types of equipment.
Develop an effective stocking and inventory management system that maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials and equipment to curb stock loss.
Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Ensure FIFO (FIRST IN FIRST OUT) inventory management system is followed to achieve no expiry of raw materials and packaging materials.
Prepare weekly pending list for the material not received against indent raised
Coordinates freight handling, equipment moving and minor repairs.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve inventory and logistics problems
Ensuring all documents are complete and signed by the highest authority before receiving or releasing stock
Keeps records to maintain inventory control, cost containment and to assure proper stock levels.
Consistently answer questions regarding procedures and resolve discrepancies regarding receipts, shipments, quality, repairs and surplus supply
Monitor and proactively take action in response to delivery needs and requests for goods.
Ensure receiving conforms to quality and quantity of stocks requested
Create stock profile and update store operation data into the inventory management software
Control material ordering by checking the indent and inform the operations manager regarding the availability of the goods.
Other duties as assigned.
