Current Vacancy for a Rector at Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position below in Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo

Job Title: RECTOR (of the Polytechnic)
Job Duties:
The Rector is the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the Polytechnic which was established in 1976.
He is responsible to the Governing Council for maintaining and promoting efficiency and discipline in the polytechnic among other duties.
Vacancy Qualifications:
Applicants should have a minimum qualification of Masters Degree in either Engineering/Technology/Physical Science or Science Education.
An advanced degree such as a Doctorate or fellowship of a reputable
Professional body, related to the chosen field of study will be an advantage.
In addition to the qualifications above, the candidate should fulfill the following:
1. Considerable academic and administrative experience of not less than ten (10) years and must be a chief lecturer in a polytechnic or at least a Senior Lecturer in the University or equivalent experience in Research Institute in the relevant field of study, provided some experiences have been acquired in a tertiary institution.
2. Evidence of publications in reputable journals and contributions at seminars or conferences
3. Must not be more than 55 years of age at the time of assumption of duty,
4. Present a certificate of birth or statutory declaration of age and a certificate of medical fitness from a Government hospital

Renumeration: As obtains in similar tertiary institutions in the State.
 Condition of service:
The appointment is for a period of four (4) years and appointee shall be eligible for reappointment the appointee will be entitled to (i) a chauffeur-driven car, (ii) a full furnished house (iii) Security guards for the house, and (iv) other fringe benefits as applicable in other tertiary institutions in the state.
