Job Title: Early Year Teacher

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning:

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons aligned with the Early Years curriculum.
• Support early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
• Maintain an orderly and engaging classroom that promotes active learning.
• Facilitate play-based and inquiry-based learning to support holistic development.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and learning materials weekly.

Child Development & Welfare:

• Observe, assess, and document each child’s progress.
• Implement strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
• Ensure all safeguarding, health, and safety standards are upheld.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

Administrative Duties:

• Submit weekly lesson plans and reports as required.
• Prepare progress reports and assessment records each term.
• Support school activities, assemblies, and general duties assigned by the Head of School.

Classroom Management:

• Maintain accurate attendance and daily records.
• Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and safety of the learning environment.
• Supervise children during class activities, meals, outdoor play, and rest periods.

Parent & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Provide regular feedback to parents on children’s progress.
• Attend parent–teacher meetings, trainings, and school events.
• Maintain professional communication with colleagues, parents, and management.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3 - 8 years experience.

Salary
N180,000 - N230,000 / annum
