Job Title: Engineering Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team.
• This role is responsible for leading and coordinating multiple projects across diverse teams.
• The primary focus will be on developing efficient processes, executing effective strategies, and ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, maintaining a high level of quality and adherence to organizational objectives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure that key projects and engineering duties are fulfilled.
• Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams
• Solve any engineering issue that comes up in a project.
• Answer technical questions, propose budgets for projects, train new employees, and work with various other departments.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders on engineering projects.
• Manage project baseline, timelines and scheduled project closeout.
• Collaborate with Leads and team members in ensuring that project deadlines are met, and appropriate recovery plans and control measures are put in place to check any slippage from project baseline.
• Involvement in bid / tender preparation.
• Drive compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies, processes, Procedures and applicable laws/legal requirements across the business.
• Measure project performance of Lead Engineers using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Manage and Coordinate Engineering Design project progress and report projects status.

Requirements

• B.Eng in any Engineering field
• M.Sc. is an added advantage
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Proficient in Engineering System and Knowledge.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience, with at least 3 years of proven work as Engineering Manager in Design Engineering.
