Overland Airways Limited was incorporated on September 17‚ 1998 to provide scheduled and charter flight services. Overland Airways has its headquarters at  17‚ Simbiat Abiola Road‚ Ikeja‚ Lagos‚ Nigeria‚ and operational stations across Nigeria and West Africa. The Airline commenced flights in 2002 with the aim of increasing the prosperity of the Nigerian hinterland by providing seamless and reliable air transportation of business and leisure travelers and interconnecting hub cities and remote economies.

Overland Airways is a pioneer airline on many routes and currently operates scheduled flights within Nigeria and parts of West Africa‚ and charter flights to West and Central Africa.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Information Technology

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• Overland airways is an IOSA certified airline based in Lagos, Nigeria. We are seeking an experienced IT Head to lead our IT team, manage the organisation technology infrastructure and supporting organisational goals through application of technology to corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the IT team in delivering reliable and secure IT services.
• Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Coordinate with department heads to assess technology needs and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor system performance and conduct regular audits and updates.
• Manage IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
• Maintain vendor relationships and manage procurement of IT equipment and services.
• Prepare IT budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal
• Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, computers, software).
• Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity, and system backups.
• Manage user support services, troubleshooting, and resolving issues promptly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience with cybersecurity, data protection regulations, and compliance standards.
• Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA,
• Microsoft Certified, or ITIL are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, networks, hardware, and software.
• Experience in IT as it applies to the Aviation Industry is an added advantage
• Must be based in Lagos, Nigeria.
