Job Description

A top brand is seeking a skilled and experienced Head Tailor to lead the team of tailors in the garment manufacturing business.
The Head Tailor will be responsible for managing and coordinating the production of the garments and ensuring that the products meet the high-quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment manufacturing, excellent tailoring skills, and experience in managing a team of tailors.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the production of garments to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Oversee the work of tailors, ensuring that all garments are tailored to specifications and quality standards.
Identify and resolve tailoring issues and discrepancies.
Order and maintain stock levels of materials and equipment used in tailoring activities.
Collaborate with designers and pattern makers to ensure that garment designs are suitable for production.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for tailoring activities.
Ensure that all tailoring activities comply with safety and health regulations.
Train and mentor junior tailors.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

O'level or equivalent qualification. A Degree in Fashion Design or a related field is a plus.
3+ years of proven experience as a Head Tailor or similar role in garment manufacturing.
Expert knowledge of tailoring techniques and equipment.
Ability to interpret garment designs and patterns.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of garment construction and production processes.
