IBST provides TV broadcast, video and audio-visual solutions for the discerning client. We have a distinct array of broadcast facilities, equipment and services which enables the production of various types of media, communication, entertainment and advertising content to high technical standards. We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below: Job Title: Digital Archivist Location: Lagos Job Description

  • IBST limited requires a Data Archivist who will be based in Lagos to acquire, digitize, manage and maintain documents, Media Rich Content that have commercial and historical importance to our clients and our organization.
  • A large part of your work is related to managing and supporting the digital information content and IT structure and processes to make the content accessible to users via our Content Management Network (CDN).
  • You will be handling very sensitive and highly confidential information and will be dealing with multiemedia content such as;
    • Photographs
    • Newspaper clippings
    • Document
    • Audio and visual Recordings etc.
    • Vectors
Key Requirements
  • A Bachelors Degree in IT with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in Record/Database Management.
  • Must be experienced in website development and administration (Back-end).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and MySQL.
  • An understanding of 10GB, SAN and NAS Networking, and and internal business enterprise solutions.
  • An understanding of Metadata/tagging, server softwares & networking.
Key Skills:
  • You must be able to demonstrate a logical approach to the processes and management of identification, classification, digitization and content structure;
  • You must have a deep understanding of research skills needed in order develop user access protocols and procedures;
  • Show a commitment to the profession and to professional development;
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a fast paced team;
  • Must possess professional IT skills, and experience applying digital technology to archival practice, and commercial exploitation of digital content;
  • Be competent in administrative procedures and project management skills.
  • Must be able to show leadership and initiative within a creative and highly driven work environment
  • Also possess the ability to skim and understand an extensive and varied range of content and its commercial use.
  • Be able to pay attention to and provide classifications and metadata to content;
  • Possess the ability to anticipate and respond to changing needs of digital media trends as they evolve;
