We are recruiting to fill the positions below:
Job Title: Registrar
Location: Iwo, Osun
The Position of the Registrar
- The Registrar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the University.
- S / he is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University except as otherwise stated by the University Charter.
- The Registrar is also the Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.
The Candidate
- The person covering for the position of Registrar shall meet the following criteria:
- A Christian (preferably of Baptist denomination) who is visionary and innovative, with exemplary leadership and good communication skills.
- He / she must be digitally compliant, up-to-date in the use of information and communication technology and knowledgeable in automation of Registry operations.
- He / she must be in excellent physical and mental health, and be between 45 and 55 years of age as of the time of assumption of duty.
Qualifications and Experience
- A good honours degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division from a recognized university.
- He/she must have not less than fifteen (15) years of relevant post-graduation experience in university administration or similar institution.
Salary and Conditions of Service
- The appointment shall be for a single term of five (5) years.
- Bowen University runs a unique remuneration package, which is similar to what obtains in other tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
- Fringe benefits include furnished accommodation, an official vehicle and driver and other benefits as approved by the Governing Council.
Job Title: Bursar
Location: Iwo, Osun
The Position of the Bursar
- The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.
- He / she shall also, from time- to-time, provide expert advice on issues of investment to generate revenue as well as disbursement of funds.
- He/she will perform oversight functions over the University’s Commercial Services.
- The Bursar shall oversee all financial, accounting, reporting, resource mobilization, fund raising, sponsorship, grants, subventions, endorsement drives, revenue generation activities, tax and insurance functions of the University.
The Candidate, Qualifications and Experience
The candidate for the post of Bursar must:
- Be a Christian (Preferably of Baptist Denomination)
- Possess a good University degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Be a registered member or Fellow of any of the following Professional Bodies: ICAN, ICMA, CPA, ACCA etc.
- Be ICT compliant and conversant with current trends in financial reporting - IFRS, IPSAS.
- Have proven knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Package especially Microsoft Excel.
- Be between the ages of 45 and 55 years as of the time of assumption of duty.
- Have not less than twelve (12) years of relevant post qualification experience in University Administration or similar institution.

Job Title: University Librarian
Location: Osun
The Position
- The University Librarian shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for she overall administration of the University Library and its branches providing Library and information services for the entire University community.
Duties
- The University Librarian is the academic and professional Head of the University Library and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and management of the University Library and its branches.
- By the virtue of his/her position, the University Librarian is a Principal Officer of the University.
The Candidate
- A Christian (preferably of Baptist denomination) who is visionary, innovative, of high integrity with excellent interpersonal communication.
- He/she must be able to instill confidence in others and command the loyalty and respect of people, especially the library staff and users.
- He/she must fully understand the complexity of the University System and must be able to effectively utilize its human resource to develop a library system that will fully support the aspirations of the University to attain world class status. He must enjoy good physical and mental health and must be between 45 and 55 years of age as of the time of assumption of duty.
- He/she must be ICT compliant and able to move the University towards virtual library application and platforms.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates must possess a good honours Degree from a recognized University and a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science or its equivalent and must have had not less than fifteen (15) years of relevant post-graduation experience, five (5) of which must be in University Administration and must show evidence of active research supported by a substantial number of scholarly publications in refereed journals.
- He/she must be a certified Librarian with evidence of membership of recognised professional bodies (e.g. Nigerian Library Association (NLA) etc).
- Possession of a doctorate degree will be an added advantage.
