Job Title: Account Reconciliation Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Accounts Reconciliation Officer helps the business to reconcile transactions across the general ledger and sub-ledgers together with other key accounts to efficiently measure and manage the transactions received with the company by various stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports regarding all cash deposits to the bank(s)
  • Perform the reconciliation and verification of accounts regarding cash at hand and cash at banks, including but not limited to all Main bank accounts, Event & Welfare bank accounts.
  • Monitor all banking activities in order to detect irregularities.
  • Prepare monthly Inventory reconciliation reports regarding all inventories in outlets and central warehouse and CPU
  • Track all inventories regularly and report to the management with the inventory records
  • Investigate all transactions in order to prevent fraud
  • Provide feedback to the accounting department on how to improve on internal controls, and also pinpoint areas where risks relating to banking transactions can be minimized
  • Provide documentation for the purpose of supporting all financial transactions
  • Reconcile and rectify all ledger accounts belonging to suppliers and outlets current accounts periodically – weekly, monthly and yearly.
  • Improve personal skill set regarding software proficiency, financial analysis and data processing
  • Reconcile discrepancies in different accounts including outlets current accounts with Head Office.
  • Collaborate with the storekeeper regarding stocks available in the store or warehouse.
  • Document and manage Tax files – WHT, VAT, PAYEE, PENSION e.t.c
  • Other assigned duties by General Ledger Accountant and Financial Accountant.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ work experience as an Accountant
  • HND / BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
  • Experience working with Excel (intermediate to advanced)

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Junior Accountant is keeps and interprets the outlet’s financial records and manages all financial transactions of the outlet, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits through various channels.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Keep records and manage daily sales after checking all related source documents
  • Manage petty cash disbursement, recording and documentation.
  • Maintain all receivables and payables accounts of the outlet.
  • Reconciliation of current accounts with head office and other outlets
  • Reviewing of all postings: general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, receivable and payable
  • Periodic reporting of outlet financial performance
  • Update records using the accounting system, carry out regular database back up and system maintenance.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Compute taxes, prepare tax returns comply with financial policies and regulations

Requirements

Job Title: Junior Auditor

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The role of the Junior Auditor is to ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation in the outlet.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation of stock at the front end
  • Cash count of main cash (sales) and petty cash with the cashier.
  • Cash evacuation at the front end and reconciliation of machine print out receipts.
  • Physical verification of all supplies from Warehouse/ CPU and suppliers of perishable and non-perishable items
  • Signing of all authorized expenses in the outlet in accordance with approval
  • Auditing of Product Transfer Note (PTN) and comparison with Product Movement form (PMF).
  • Monthly stocks taking exercise, valuation and reconciliation of store items
  • Review of daily product comparative analysis (DPCS) report to ascertain product shortages
  • Material usage report
  • Daily stock-taking of closing items at the production unit
  • Review of stock control sheet from production unit.
  • Review of accounts payable report
  • Review of the bank lodgments.

Requirements

  • B.Sc, HND in Accounting or any equivalent
  • ICAN in view will be an added advantage
  • Minimum 3 years progressive relevant experience

Job Title: Fixed Asset Management Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The role of the Fixed Asset Manager is to help the company monitor and manage all tangible and intangible assets giving adequate and timely reports on productivity and performance of these fixed assets.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Recording the cost of tangible and intangible fixed assets for the organization
  • Tracking existing fixed assets across all locations and monitoring efficiency
  • Calculating and recording depreciation and amortization in line with company policy
  • Assessing and accounting for impairments and records
  • Accounting for the disposal of fixed assets whether through a sale or at the end of their useful life
  • Manages the complete life cycle of company assets that are owned, leased or licensed for the company
  • Administer and oversee the ongoing maintenance of the fixed asset software
  • Manage company-wide inventory process for the company
  • Work with the Finance Manager to learn and support process in Sage for current and newly acquired assets
  • Record all financial transactions including: depreciation, liabilities, and assets

Job Title: Central Auditor

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The role of the central Auditor is to ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation in the outlet. He is also responsible for collating cash report from all outlets and verifying with their lodgment.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for authorizing I.O.U, petty cash, invoice and receipt.
  • Verification of Items coming in and going out of the organization.
  • Responsible for cash count with Head cash on a regular interval.
  • Responsible for collating cash report from all outlets and verification of cash lodgment.
  • Review of petty cash reimbursement of both Head Office and the entire outlet.
  • Review of source documents from warehouse and CPU and documents from various departments for payment.
  • Reviewing of Perishables from the outlet.
  • Verification of bank payment vouchers
  • If Approved for payment all document will be stamped and pass to account payable.
  • Verification of LPOs.

Requirements

Job Title: Cashier

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Cashier will be responsible daily cash in and out transactions and evacuation of cash from counter of the outlet. Also responsible for lodgment of outlet cash sales into company bank account.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Daily cash count
  • Collection/ Evacuation of cash from the counter at intervals
  • Counting of the cash evacuated from the counter with a sales representative
  • Reconciliation of cash evacuated with the readings from the machine with the internal auditor
  • Daily posting of sales and cash book to SAGE
  • Issuing company receipt for special order, tastee2u order, dog food, hall rentage and other cash payment to the company purse
  • Lodgment of cash/cheque in the bank either through Bankers Warehouse or personal lodgment in the presence of the outlet auditor
  • Payment of petty cash during the weekend in the absence of the outlet accountant
  • Sourcing for lower bills from the bank to ease the outlet operations.

Requirements

  • OND, HND, B.Sc in Accounting or any equivalent

Job Title: Zonal Cashier

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The role of the zonal cashier will be responsible for supervising a group of cashiers and rendering assistance with transactional duties.
  • He/ She will be responsible for ensuring accurate computation of the entire invoice on the basis of goods and services acquired by customers.
  • The head cashier makes use of cash registers and is accountable for inspecting the inventory’s front-end operations where other cashiers are carrying out their duties.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate documentation and transaction record system for all cash/POS transactions
  • Oversees activity of junior cashiers to ensure that they are working up to store expectations.
  • Review of Machine books to ensure all the parties (Cashier, Auditor and CCP) involved in the process write their names and append their signatures in compliance with management policy.
  • Review of outlet Sales Remittance register to ensure all mode of payments of transactions are captured in the register.
  • Reconciliation of each POS end of the day report (EOD) with the POS transactions recorded in the Sales Remittance register.
  • Review of lodgments recorded in the Cash Book with lodgments tellers for correctness
  • Review of other incomes (Tips, Customer Change recorded) in the Cash Book.
  • Preparation of weekly reports on the aforementioned to the Treasury Manager.
  • Resolve cash tills at the end of every shift
  • Generate accurate till reports for each register
  • Manage and perform all check-out functions on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • B.Sc, HND in Accounting or any equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years progressive relevant experience
  • Must have excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
