Registrar at the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations


The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations is a body established in 1963 and chartered by Decree No. 16 of 1990 which is now CAP114, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, LFN, 2004, and charged with the regulation of Public Relations practice in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Duties

  • The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer/Head of the Secretariat of the Institute and is responsible to the President and Chairman of the Governing Council for the day-to-day general administration of the Institute.
  • The Registrar is also the Secretary to the Governing Council of the Institute.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Interested applicants for this post must possess at least a Master's Degree in Mass Communication, the Arts or other Social Sciences from a recognized University.
  • Candidates must be financially up-to-date members of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (please include your membership number in your application)
  • Candidate should not be below 40 years at the time of application.
  • Candidates must be able to meet targets as would be set from time to time by the President, on behalf of Council.
  • Must have had not less than 20 years extensive and varied post-qualification administrative experience at a top management position.
  • Candidates must possess extensive ICT skills relevant to domains of Public Relations with excellent communication skills.
