Rainoil Limited is an integrated downstream oil and gas company. A prominent player in the Nigerian industry, the company’s operations span across the downstream value chain i.e. Petroleum Product Storage, Haulage/Distribution and Retail Sales. Our primary products include Petrol (PMS), Diesel (AGO) and Kerosene (DPK).

Job Description

• The Strategy and Business Development Analyst supports the organization’s growth agenda by conducting market research, analyzing data, evaluating business opportunities, and assisting in strategic planning and execution.
• The ideal candidate will help identify trends, assess competitive positioning, and support high-impact business development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market and industry research to identify trends, risks, and new business opportunities.
• Analyze internal and external data to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Marketing, Operations) to execute growth strategies.
• Monitor and track progress of strategic initiatives and provide regular updates.
• Support due diligence and integration planning for mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures.
• Support the development of business plans, financial models, and feasibility studies.
• Track competitor performance, market share movements, and strategic initiatives.
• Assist in identifying and evaluating potential partnerships, alliances, and investment opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field (MBA is a plus).
• 2–4 years of experience in strategy consulting, business development, investment analysis, or corporate planning.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Tableau)
• Strong communication and presentation skills,
• Cross-functional coordination,
• Report writing and presentation, Strong attention to detail
• Advanced Excel Ability to derive insights from large datasets
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Knowledge of oil and gas value chain
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving
