We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Tax Supervisor - Head Office

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • This role supports the tax unit by ensuring compliance with Nigerian tax laws, assist in tax planning and managing audits.
  • This role is critical in maintaining accurate tax records and facilitating smooth interactions with the tax authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Support in conducting in-house tax audits to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare monthly tax returns and ensure timely filing and remittance of VAT, WHT, and CIT and other relevant tax returns.
  • Liaise with tax authorities during audits and assessments.
  • Represent the company in tax-related discussions and negotiations.
  • Support in document collations and arrangements for processing of Capital Acceptance Certificate from Federal Ministry of Industries for the purpose of Capital allowance claims
  • Processing of Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) from Federal inland Revenue Services (FIRS)
  • Assist in developing tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
  • Support the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and tax computations.
  • Reconcile tax accounts and ensure proper journal entries in the ERP system.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance or any other related discipline
  • Understanding of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory frameworks
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 4-6 years’ experience
  • Membership of ICAN, ACCA, or CITN is an added advantage
