Sundry Markets Limited owns and operates Marketsquare Supermarkets (www.marketsquareng.com) - Nigeria’s emerging grocery retailer. Our first store commenced trading in December 2015 while efforts are underway to put a store in every major city of the country. We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:     Job Title: Butchery Manager (Retail) Location: Rivers Job Description

• Plan, order, prepare cutting lists, and process meat according to the work plan and standards to maximise sales and gross profit.
• May include the preparation of meat products involving the use of grinders, power jacks, scales, wrapping machines, saws and knives.
• Ensure all new department associates receive proper training and supervision and will ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and displays.

• Managing department inventory
• Ensuring Pricing integrity
• Merchandising
• Staff management and training
• Managing meat processing (producing various meat cuts for sale)
• Managing customer service

• Experience as a butcher in a modern supermarket or meat processing company or meat shop
• Proficient in meat merchandising and retail packaging
• 3-5 years prior working experience as a butchery manager/supervisor/similar role
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any field

• Set and run a profitable wholesale retail business with requisite experience and good knowledge of corporate entities.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any field preferably in Marketing or related courses.
• Experience in wholesale retail business
• Should be able to aggressively sell Market Square Products.
• Must have 3-5 years experience as a Sale Manager/officer/Similar Role
