Job Title: Business Development Officer

Job Description

  • We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven business development executive to drive growth, expand market presence, and strengthen client relationships across all business segments.
  • The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with strategic marketing insight, ensuring the company consistently identifies new opportunities, submits competitive bids, and achieves its corporate sales targets.
  • This role requires a proactive professional capable of engaging clients, leading tendering processes, analyzing market trends, and supporting management with timely business intelligence that enhances decision-making and fuels sustainable business expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the corporate business and sales targets are achieved.
  • Responsible for implementing the Business Development/Commercial Process Procedure
  • Develop a marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives.
  • Maintain a schedule of all jobs bided, pre-qualified prospects, etc.
  • Co-ordinates all tendering and bidding activities of the company and ensures timely submission of bids.
  • Participates in site inspection visit, pre-bid/tender clarification meetings and submits reports to management
  • Ensure client acquisition and retention at all times
  • Update Management on monthly basis on business prospects.
  • Update management on the status of submitted tenders/bids within one month of submission
  • Arrange business meetings and technical presentations with prospective clients.
  • Proactive marketing and consolidation of existing clients.
  • Reach out for all job adverts and prospects as may be relevant.
  • Coordinates all tendering and bidding activities of the company and ensures timely submission of bids.
  • Obtain updated information for all the submitted pre-qualifications and tenders.
  • To ensure that all activities are being carried out in accordance to the Company’s HSE Policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that pre-qualification documents and bids are complete and comply with the submission requirements as defined in the Invitation for Tender (ITT).
  • Responsible for preparation, thorough packaging and submission of tenders and pre-qualification (technical tender, unpriced commercial tender and commercial tender)
  • Analyze market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback.
  • Opening up new market spectrum for the company
  • Attend to other duties as may be assigned by Management

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 / month.
