Job Description

• We are seeking for a qualified applicant for the post of Account Officer who will manage a company’s financial records, process invoices, records payment, track expenses and takes care of the financial bookkeeping and records of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining financial records, recording payments and disbursement.
• Handling accounts payable and receivable.
• Checking invoices, Monitoring spending and budgets.
• Resolving accounts to the general ledger.
• Recording and categorizing expenses, and preparing financial reports.
• Analyzing financial data so they can recommend ways to help the organization run proficiently
• Examining the accuracy of financial documents and where they stand with laws and regulations
• Offering advice to organizations on how to reduce cost, improve their revenue, and boost profit.
• Finding and addressing any discrepancy in accounting
• Keeping account books and systems up to date.
• Preparing accounts and tax returns, making sure they are paid in time
• Financial forecasting and risk analysis.
• Advising on how to reduce costs and increase profits.
• Compiling and presenting financial and budget reports.

Requirements and Qualifications

• B.Sc. / HND in Accounting or relevant field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
• A degree in Accounting or similar.
• 3 - 5 year’s working experience as an Accountant
• Knowledge and competency in accounting principles.
