The International Center for Environmental Health & Development (ICEHD) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in May 2004 and registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission. Headquartered in Lagos, ICEHD is dedicated to promoting health—particularly for women and girls—environmental rights, gender and climate justice, and socio-economic inclusion.

ICEHD empowers marginalized communities through education, capacity building, and advocacy, enabling them to actively participate in shaping policies and programs that affect their well-being. The organization focuses on ensuring access to quality health services, a clean environment, and economic opportunities, especially for vulnerable populations in Nigeria and across Africa..

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounts Officer

Location: Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday–Friday), and select Saturdays as required

Job Summary

• We are hiring a smart, proactive, and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our growing team!

Key Requirements

• OND, HND, or BSc in Accounting or related field
• 1–2 years of practical work experience in an accounting or finance-related role
• Relevant accounting certifications (added advantage)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting software.

• High level of integrity and responsibility
• Effective communication and administrative skills
• Ability to plan, implement, and support program activities
• Experience in proposal writing and resource mobilization is a plus
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good reporting and documentation abilities

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Gender: Female candidates are encouraged to apply
• Residence: Must reside within or around Ikeja and its environs (Alausa, Omole, Ogba, Ipaja, Ojodu, Berger, Maryland, Ojota, Ketu, Obanikoro, Palmgroove, Ilupeju, Shomolu, etc.)
• Experience in the NGO sector* is highly preferred
• Familiarity with content creation and social media management is an added advantage

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
