Bursar at Adamawa State Polytechnic

Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola was Established by Edict No.8 of 1996 to provide: full time and part-time courses of instructions and training in Technology, the sciences, humanities, commerce and such other fields of learning relevant to the need of community; courses of in-service training, workshop and seminars to the public and private sectors; teaching, research and other means of development of knowledge and its practical application to the needs of the community and to award Diplomas and certificates in the fields of learning.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Bursar

Location: Adamawa

Duties

• The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the Polytechnic and shall be responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the Polytechnic.

Qualification and Experience

• Candidate with Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a recognized institutions of higher learning with at least eighteen (18) years cognate experience or a Master’s degree with at least fifteen (15) years accounting experience in a tertiary institution.
• Candidate must have been a Deputy Bursar for at least three (3) years of satisfactory service on that grade in a tertiary institution.
• Candidate must be proficient in hifonnation and Communication Technology (ICT) skills.
• Candidate must not be more than sixty-one (61) years of age at the time of assumption of duty.
• Candidate must be a member of registered professional body such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN, ICPAN, ANAN.

Terms and Conditions of Appointment

• The tenure of appointment will be for four (4) years on Consolidated Salary.
• The condition of service for the post is as tenable in the Polytechnic system in the country.
