We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Accountant

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure the timely preparation and accuracy of financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.

Strategic Planning and Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and manage budgets and cost-control measures.
• Contribute to financial strategies to support organizational goals.

System and Process Optimization:

• Evaluate and improve accounting systems, processes, and controls.
• Implement new technologies or tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Compliance and Audit:

• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address any identified issues.
• Maintain and enforce adherence to accounting standards

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounting team.
• Provide training and development opportunities for team members.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification preferred).
• Knowledge: Thorough understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Experience: 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, among others) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel expertise required).

Salary
N250,000 / month.
